Kiwanis Goals

The goals for each Kiwanian and Kiwanis Club are to renew efforts to:

  1. Build a stronger Kiwanis through membership recruitment, new club building and retention;
  2. Build a stronger K Family through Builders Club, Key Club, Circle K, and the Kiwanis International Foundation;
  3. Build a stronger awareness of the devastating effects of child abuse; and thereby,
  4. Build a stronger tomorrow through Young Children: Priority One
Objectives of Kiwanis International
To Give primacy to the human and spiritual rather than to the material values of life.

To Encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships.

To Promote the adoption and the application of higher social, business and professional standards.

To Develop by precept and example, a more intelligent aggressive and serviceable citizenship.

To Provide through Kiwanis clubs a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service and to build better communications.

To Cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism and good will.

Kiwanis Young Children: Priority One

The major emphasis of every Kiwanis Club is to support Young Children: Priority One by implementing a new project that addresses the needs of young children in:
Parenting Skills
Child Abuse
Child Care
Nutrition
Safety and Pediatric Trauma
Early Development
Maternal and Infant Health

The elimination of Iodine Deficiency Disorder (IDD), the most common preventable cause of mental disabilities in the world today, is the Kiwanis International Worldwide Service Project. The Kiwanis Club of Northside Atlanta supports this service project through gifts from our foundation and by club giving.
